The Monte Vista Christian School athletic program is one of the top athletic programs in the Bay Area. This private Christian school in Watsonville, California provides sports opportunities for middle school and high school students, with the youngest student-athletes starting in 6th grade. MVC offers football, lacrosse, soccer, track and field, cross country, basketball, tennis, baseball, and more. The coaches at Monte Vista Christian School strive to provide positive leadership that motivates student-athletes to put their heart and soul into each and every practice and game. In sharing his positive outlook, Athletic Director Coach Matt Coleman shares with his lacrosse players, “No matter the day, good or bad, at the end of the day we get to play the game of lacrosse. And that makes it a good day.” Student-athletes at MVC spread the positivity they learn from their coaches and share it with their teammates, creating an optimistic environment. Students come to Monte Vista Christian School from many surrounding areas including Santa Cruz, Gilroy, Morgan Hill, San Jose, and more. The football, lacrosse, soccer, and track and field programs were especially fortunate last year, as the newly renovated turf field and all-weather track were unveiled. The newest amenities in Mustang Stadium contribute to the professional feel of the field and track, and allow for student-athletes to practice and compete no matter how the weather has been.
