Monte Vista Christian School in Santa Cruz County offers the opportunity for high school students to be part of a very special football program. Coaches at this private Christian school in Watsonville, California teach the fundamentals of football and the value of teamwork, as well as point the student-athletes toward God. One varsity football coach shares, “Being able to bring student-athletes closer to God on my ‘turf chapel’ is a special blessing that I treasure immensely.” MVC not only boasts a well-established football program, but middle school and high school teams in soccer, lacrosse, track and field, and more. These teams have the benefit of a newly renovated turf field and all-weather track, which helps the teams practice and compete no matter the outdoor conditions. Students participate in these sports from surrounding areas including Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Santa Cruz, Watsonville, and the general Bay Area. Whether it be football, lacrosse, soccer, or track and field, student-athletes benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, coaches who teach strong fundamentals and the value of teamwork, and most importantly, a focus on Christ, who is their ultimate strength.
