Monte Vista Christian School in Watsonville, California, has recently added a new turf field and all-weather track to support its middle school and high school athletics programs. Decades ago, the location of the current Mustang Stadium was actually an airstrip for planes. In the 1990s, this Bay Area school decided to create an official sports program, and the airstrip was removed and replaced by an athletics stadium. In 2020, the newly renovated Mustang Stadium was revealed, and student-athletes and coaches are loving the new facilities. One coach shares, “The renovated Mustang Stadium is spectacular. The facility now supports all of our student-athletes. The all-weather track and artificial surface will serve students for years to come and will be a place where all Mustangs will honor the Lord with their athletic talents.” This new stadium supports football, lacrosse, track and field, and soccer, with participating students coming from San Jose, Santa Cruz, Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Watsonville, and more.
